On the Lean to the Left podcast "Dixie Dems" episode for June, we talked about how the Republican presidential candidates are struggling to explain whether or not they would pardon Donald Trump for his crimes if they are elected.
South Carolina's Nikki Haley says she would be "inclined" to do so. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) isn't sure. But in this clip, Dixie Dem Arthur Hill from North Carolina speculates about President Biden pardoning Trump.
"I think that would cut the legs out from under Trump," he says.
His sidekick, Robert Thompson of Georgia adds that it's "embarrassing" that pardons for a former president even needs to be discussed.
