Constantly over the past year, Donald Trump blamed China for sending the Covid 19 pandemic to the United States as he tried to deflect from his own responsibility for the tragic consequences of the pandemic.
And on top of that, sensing that he’d struck a nerve with his already xenophobic followers, Trump began blaming China for everything he could, every chance he had – even his own defeat.
We all know that words have consequences, and the consequences of Trump’s hateful rhetoric are now being felt in the Asian American community in our country. The vicious shootings that occurred this week in Atlanta are probably just the latest example.
