It took more than 40 days for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to acknowledge the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the presidency and vice-presidency, respectively, compared to only one day when Donald Trump won in 2016.Why did it take so long?Well, McConnell, not wanting to get in Trump’s crosshairs, waited until the Electoral College officially declared Biden and Harris the winners on December 14.Now, he has to deal with the possibility of a revolt among Republicans in Congress, some of whom want to drag this out even further. That could be a challenge for McConnell, who still has to tread softly as long as Trump has power. We’ll cover that in today’s podcast, “Wily, Old Mitch & the Sore Loser” From Not Fake News.biz. Take a listen.
