Yesterday, filled with hope, I wrote commentary ahead of the election that I hoped to be able to publish on my blog site, Not Fake News.biz, and share with you on NFN Radio News.The first paragraph read:Tonight, the American tragedy of the Trump presidency was soundly repudiated by the American people who decided to return to stability, sanity and hope and elected Joe Biden as president and Kamala Harris as vice president of the United States.Unfortunately, that did not happen, and the draft of that piece has now been consigned to my trash bin. However, as today has dawned and moved into the afternoon, it looks increasingly likely that Joe Biden will be elected and Trump, after his lawsuit shenanigans, will be consigned to the trash bin of history.But the election demonstrated that America is divided like never before, thanks to Trump’s exploitation of fear, latent racism, and tendency of many people to simply believe what they want to believe.
